Hong Wan will be presenting at the 2019 US Frontiers of Engineering Symposium on September 27.
Hong Wan, associate professor of industrial engineering, blockchain researcher at NC State, and previous Director of the Purdue Blockchain Lab, will be presenting at the 2019 US Frontiers of Engineering Symposium. On September 25-27, she will travel to North Charleston, South Carolina to attend the event. Hosted by Boeing, this symposium evaluates advanced manufacturing, engineering the genome, self-driving Cars, and blockchain technology. Wan will be presenting on, “Blockchain beyond Cryptocurrency”. She will discuss block chain trust and different types of blockchain. Wan will also give cases and examples of blockchain.
The goal of the Frontiers of Engineering Symposium is to bring together engineers from industry, universities, and federal labs to help cross-disciplinary exchange. This promotes the transfer of new techniques and approaches across these fields. As a result, innovative technology continues to be improved and produced.
