The ISE Department held its annual Alumni Hall of Fame Breakfast on November 4th as part of Red and White Week at NC State University. Phil Mintz was one of the four Distinguished Alumni Award winners. Congratulations to Phil.
Biography
Phil Mintz is the executive director of NC State University’s Industry Expansion Solutions (IES) and director of the North Carolina Manufacturing Extension Partnership. Before joining IES in 1997, Mintz held posts as an industrial and systems engineer and engineering cost analyst for organizations including the US Navy Procurement Office, Lockheed-Martin Engineering and Sciences Company, and Westinghouse Electric Corporation’s Electronic Systems Division. He is a board member of the Foundation for Manufacturing Excellence Board of Directors, Polymers Center of Excellence Board of Directors, NC Manufacturing Policy Roundtable, and the UNC System Economic Transformation Council. Mintz has a BS degree in Engineering Operations from NC State University and an MS in Industrial Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University.
