Bio

Md Rabiul Hasan is a Ph.D. student in NC State’s Industrial and Systems Engineering Department. He is pursuing his Ph.D. to strengthen his analytical and research skills. Additionally, he hopes to contribute to innovation and problem-solving within industrial engineering.

Hasan plans to apply his education and experience in a challenging, collaborative environment. He wants to develop data-driven and systems-oriented solutions that create meaningful impact. Throughout his career, Hasan hopes to continue learning while growing as an engineer and researcher.

Beyond his academic and career goals, Hasan values integrity and continuous learning. He also believes in maintaining a healthy work-life balance and contributing positively to the teams and organizations around him.

Area(s) of Expertise

Hasan’s research interests connect advanced manufacturing, supply chains, data analytics and process optimization. His work applies data-driven methods to improve manufacturing efficiency, reliability and sustainability.

His research includes optimizing energy consumption in directed energy deposition-based hybrid additive manufacturing. Additionally, he has contributed to research on predictive maintenance and time-series analytics in smart manufacturing.

Hasan has also studied sustainable composite supply chains and transportation optimization. Through this work, he applies industrial engineering methods to practical challenges across manufacturing, logistics and supply chain systems.
