Ashley Stanfield Gamble is a Ph.D. student in Industrial and Systems Engineering at NC State. Beyond healthcare, Gamble has applied analytics to food access, nonprofit operations and logistics. Her projects have included mapping food deserts, optimizing food distribution routes and forecasting logistics needs.
Additionally, Gamble has served as a research assistant, course instructor and teaching assistant at NC State. She also gained industry experience as a supply chain intern with Novartis Gene Therapies.

Stanfield Gamble's research uses simulation modeling, optimization and data analytics to address challenges in healthcare and humanitarian systems. Gamble’s current research focuses on colorectal cancer screening. She uses simulation and metamodeling to compare screening strategies, predict long-term outcomes and support more equitable access to care. Her work also applies Python, R and AnyLogic to produce data-driven insights for decision-makers.
