Bio

Ethan Hixon is from Charlotte, NC. He is majoring in industrial and systems engineering and he is pursuing a minor in business administration. Growing up, Hixon always excelled in math and physics, so he quickly decided on engineering, and from there, NC State was the only option.

Once he got to NC State, he learned about about the strengths of ISE in my E102 class. Hixon was attracted to the “people-oriented” aspect, as well as the data-driven process optimization. Since entering the program, he has loved working with all the great faculty and hard-working students.

Hixon chose to be an ISE ambassador because he thinks that as a senior in the program, he has a lot of great experience that makes him a good resource for younger students. He enjoys helping others, and this role will give him a great opportunity to do so.

Outside of school, Hixon enjoys working out, playing basketball and stressing over his favorite sports teams.
