Farzaneh Rezaei
Bio
Farzaneh Rezaei brings more than 18 years of experience in microbial science, biological product development and process development. Her expertise includes biomanufacturing and building partnerships that move scientific discoveries toward commercialization.
Rezaei has held scientific and leadership roles at Novozymes and Pivot Bio. There, she built and led teams in fermentation, downstream processing and formulation. Additionally, she managed networks of industry collaborators, research organizations and manufacturers supporting several commercial product launches.
In 2023, Rezaei founded Fafabiotic LLC, a biotechnology startup developing live probiotic skincare products. Through strategic partnerships, she guided the company from concept through commercialization.
Rezaei earned her Ph.D. from Penn State University and served as research faculty at UC Davis. She also serves on industry advisory boards at Virginia Tech and Penn State.
Rezaei focuses on building the partnerships and operations needed to turn promising science into real-world solutions. Moreover, she is passionate about developing future talent in biomanufacturing and sustainable protein. At the Bezos Center, she brings extensive technical experience and an industry network to help address critical food system challenges.
