Bio

Linfeng “Serena” Song is a Ph.D. student in Industrial Engineering at NC State. Her academic interests combine systems engineering, statistical modeling and human factors. At NC State, Song has served as a teaching assistant since 2022. She supports courses in automated systems engineering, statistical modeling for system analytics and human factors in systems design. Through these roles, she helps students develop analytical and technical skills across several areas of industrial engineering.

Through her academic and teaching experiences, Song has developed a broad foundation in industrial engineering methods. Her background combines quantitative analysis, systems thinking and human factors to address complex engineering challenges.
