Monica Morgan has spent over ten years helping universities grow through philanthropy and fundraising. She is the Director of Philanthropy for the ISE Department. In this role, she connects alumni, donors and friends with opportunities to support the department.
Before this position, Monica served as the Director of Philanthropy for Central Major Gifts at NC State. She built relationships across the Triad and Western North Carolina regions. She also led the NC State Regional Philanthropic Ambassadors, a volunteer group that strengthens university ties in local communities.
Earlier in her career, Monica worked at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She started as a Leadership Annual Giving Officer and later became the Senior Associate Director of Leadership Annual Giving. There, she helped donors support the university in meaningful ways.
Monica’s journey in philanthropy began at Franklin & Marshall College, where she held several roles. She worked as a Special Gifts Officer and later as the Assistant Director of Student and Young Alumni Engagement. She also gained experience as a marketing intern with the Lancaster Barnstormers.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in Spanish Language and Literature from Franklin & Marshall College. As a student, she took on leadership roles, including President of the Blue and White Society. She also participated in several campus initiatives.
With a passion for education and volunteer management, Monica continues to build strong philanthropic partnerships that shape the future of learning.
