Professor David Kaber travels to Chiang Mai University to network with fellow industrial engineers
This summer, professor David kaber visited the Department of Industrial Engineering at Chiang Mai University in Thailand. Like our ISE department, Chiang Mai is also a “full-service” IE department with faculty working in ergonomics, logistics and supply chains, manufacturing, and operations research. They have a research Excellence Center for Logistics Engineering and Supply Chain Management. They also have a research unit focused on Design and Development of Advanced Manufacturing Technology. Although the Chiang Mai department is half a world away from NC State, we are not so far apart in terms of interests and the types of coursework and research we deliver.
