Please welcome Ilana Bookner to the ISE Department. Bookner works at the Summer Internship Program for Operations Research Technology (SPORT) at the National Security Agency (NSA). She will discuss the advantages of the NSA’s SPORT program.
SPORT is a 12-week paid summer internship offered by the National Security Agency (NSA) that provides 8 U.S. Citizen graduate students the opportunity to apply their technical skill to current, real-world operations research problems at the NSA. Our one-hour presentation is designed to provide background and information to give your students an idea of the general kinds of problems they might work on as part of the SPORT program, and generate an engaged Q&A session. Please note, the presentation is open to anyone, but the SPORT program is only open to U.S. citizen graduate students who are graduating in December 2019 or later.
Program Highlights:

Summer Internship Program for Operations Research Technology (SPORT) at the National Security Agency (NSA) provides U.S. Citizen graduate students the opportunity to apply their technical skills to current, real-world operations research problems in a stimulating professional environment. As a SPORT intern you will work closely with full time Operations Research analysts at the NSA. Internships are paid and are 12 weeks in duration (MayAugust).
