Deanna Cardamone began working in the ISE department as an academic advisor in January of 2023. She comes to us from Elon University, where she was the Academic Coordinator for various athletic teams in their Academic Support for Athletics department for three years. Before her time at Elon University, Cardamone was an Assistant Academic Coordinator in the Academic Support Program for Student-Athletes department at NC State University. During her time in ASPSA, she primarily worked with the men’s soccer, men’s tennis and football teams. She also worked in the ASPSA department while completing her master’s and provided a range of services as a student-athlete mentor and a graduate apprentice.
Cardamone received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from East Carolina University in 2014. She then completed her master’s of education in College Counseling and Student Development from NC State University in 2017.
She grew up outside Raleigh, married her husband in 2016, and welcomed their first child in 2021. In her free time, Cardamone enjoys spending time with her family and friends, exploring the surrounding areas, and attending sporting events.
