David Pozo is an industrial and systems engineering student who believes effective communication is essential for building strong relationships. Therefore, he prioritizes connecting with people in positive ways. Whether listening to concerns, answering questions or sharing advice, he enjoys engaging with others and helping them find their path. Consequently, his interpersonal skills allow him to represent ISE well while creating community among students, faculty and alums.
In addition to serving as an ambassador, Pozo has worked as a village mentor in university housing. Over the past year, he has built relationships with 55 residents. Moreover, he has supported international and transfer students during their transitions to campus life. He has also counseled first-year students on academic and personal challenges. Furthermore, he developed programs on diversity, personal development and academic performance.
