Dilara Soydan

Ph.D. Student

Dilara Soydan is an industrial engineer and Ph.D. student at North Carolina State University with experience spanning manufacturing, information technology and product development. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Boğaziçi University (2020–2025), where Soydan developed a strong foundation in systems thinking, analytics and operations.

Soydan completed a year-long internship as a Production Engineer Intern at Mercedes-Benz Türk A.Ş. (2024–2025), gaining hands-on experience in manufacturing processes, production systems optimization and operational efficiency within a large-scale automotive environment. Her work focused on process improvement and performance enhancement in complex production settings.

She also broadened her expertise through roles as a Product Owner Intern at ICRON and an Information Technology Analyst Intern at Turkish Technology in 2023, contributing to product strategy, development processes and IT-focused projects.

With a multidisciplinary background bridging engineering, technology and operations, Soydan brings a systems-oriented and analytical approach to solving complex industrial challenges through research and practice.
