Concentration
Research Interests
Jaehyuk Kim’s research centers on developing efficient and scalable algorithms for large-scale combinatorial optimization problems under uncertainty. He specializes in sequential decision-making problems, which are formulated as complex two- and multi- stage Mixed-Integer Linear Programs (MILPs). His research approach is rooted in adaptive robust optimization theory and develops methodologies, including machine learning (ML)-integrated approaches, to effectively tackle the complexity of these problems. He applies these methodologies to improve sequential decision-making in complex societal systems where operational efficiency is paramount.
