Fourty-nine students participated in the Fall 2011 ISE Graduation Commencement. Professor Reha Uzsoy delivered the C.A. Anderson address to the graduates and their family and friends. The commencement also featured a guest speaker, ISE alumnus Dr. Rajendra K. Pachauri. Dr. Pachauri has had a distinguished career and is the Director General of TERI, an institute formally established in 1974 with the purpose of tackling and dealing with the immense and acute problems that mankind is likely to face within in the years ahead. He also chairs the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. The IPCC is a scientific body established by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) to provide the world with a clear scientific view on the current state of knowledge in climate change and its potential environmental and socio-economic impacts. As chair he shared the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize with former Vice President Al Gore. His message was enjoyed by over 300 attendees.
