ISE students celebrate their accomplishments before heading out into the world
In front of a capacity crowd consisting of 56 new graduates, families, friends and the ISE department’s faculty and staff, Professor David Kaber delivered the C.A. Anderson commencement address at this year’s fall graduation ceremony. But instead of giving the traditional graduation commencement address, Dr. Kaber shared a collection of stories from relatively new ISE alumni about their careers in the “real world”. Again, ISE’s industry diversity was on display as stories ranged from leading a 250 person team of helicopter pilots for the US Army to developing the online user experience for a major airline to creating patient care systems in the healthcare industry. Dr. Kaber encouraged the graduates by saying that he couldn’t wait to hear about their career stories in the future.
