ISE Senior Lecturer and Assistant Head Emeritus, Clarence Smith, who retired in 2010 after serving ISE for 32+ years, was appointed recently to a four-year term serving on the Board of Trustees of Piedmont Community College (PCC), located in Roxboro, NC. His term as trustee runs through June 30, 2021.
Piedmont Community College, one of 58 colleges in the North Carolina Community College System, is a multi-campus college primarily serving Person and Caswell Counties. PCC awards associates degrees, diplomas, and certificates in about 40 programs of study and offers a college-university transfer program for students pursuing bachelor’s degrees at four-year institutions. Additionally, the College provides a wide variety of professional and personal enrichment programs and courses through its Continuing Education Division.
Smith was appointed by the Person County Board of Commissioners.
