ISE professor Stephen Roberts receives the title of Diplomate from the Society of Health Services
The Society for Health Systems (SHS) works to improve healthcare processes around the world. They encourage the exchange of ideas and innovative techniques among healthcare professionals. Founded in 1948, it is a society of the Institute of Industrial Engineers (IIE). In February, the SHS awarded diplomate status to ISE professor Stephen Roberts.
“Since health systems is a departmental focus, being recognized within the Society of Health Systems as a Diplomate is welcome honor,” said Dr. Roberts. He is the founder of the Health Systems Engineering Certificate Program here in the ISE Department. The program was the first of its kind in the UNC System.
SHS awards Diplomate Status to a select few of its 900 members for their contributions to the Society and to the healthcare industry. Diplomates are leaders who take part in shaping the future of the Society and the greater healthcare community.
Congratulations to Dr. Roberts on receiving this award!
