Graduate Degree Progress and Minors FAQ
Degree Progress
- You will need to fill out a Change of Degree Status or Curriculum Form for the Graduate School.
- Complete the form, sign it, and send it to the ISE Graduate Office.
- You will need three appropriate individuals to submit Letters of Recommendation and the accompanying forms directly to the ISE Graduate Office. Once that is complete, submit a new Statement of Purpose to the ISE Graduate Office.
- You will need to fill out a Change of Degree Status or Curriculum Form for the Graduate School.
- Complete the form, sign it, and send it to the ISE Graduate Office.
- If you are an international student, you will also need to submit the OIS Change in Curriculum/Level/Co-Major Request Form. This form has to be signed by the Director of IMSEI Graduate Programs and sent to the Graduate School. You will also need to send your OIS Form to OIS.
- You will need to fill out a Change of Degree Status or Curriculum Form for the Graduate School.
- Complete the form, sign it, and send it to the ISE Graduate Office.
- Along with this form, please you must submit the offer letter for your internship.
- If you are an international student, you will also need to submit the OIS Change in Curriculum/Level/Co-Major Request Form. This form has to be signed by the Director of Graduate Programs and sent to the ISE Graduate Office.
- You will need to fill out a Change of Degree Status or Curriculum Form for the Graduate School.
- Complete the form, sign it, and send it to the ISE Graduate Office.

- If you are an international student, you will also need to submit the OIS Change in Curriculum/Level/Co-Major Request Form to the ISE Graduate Office so that it can be signed by the Director of Graduate Programs.
- Please email the ISE Graduate Office ([email protected]) with your name and student ID # and subject line: Reset PoW. The Graduate Office will reset your PoW so that you can make changes and resubmit it for approval.
- Please review the OIS guidelines and requirements. Please complete and sign the RCL request form and submit it to the ISE Graduate Office ([email protected]). Your PoW must be approved before submitting your RCL request. Please make sure you are only enrolled in the courses that are listed on your PoW for the current semester.
Minors
- Fill out a Minor Declaration Form and bring it to your minor adviser, who will approve and send it to Registration & Records.
- The minor audit will appear under “Degree Audit” in My Pack and will be designated on your official transcript at the same time your degree is conferred.

- Ph.D. or MSIE students must declare a minor. You will complete the Minor Plan portion of your Plan of Work. MIE students do not have a minor. Please see Ph.D., MSIE, and MIE Degree Requirements pages.
