Graduate Plan of Work
The Graduate Plan of Work is a document that serves both as a guide to successful degree completion and a contract between students and their programs. In this way, it serves to reduce the potential for misunderstandings about degree requirements and outlines the expected academic progress students should make.
Changing your Degree?
Applying to add a Ph.D. to your Masters can be done through the ISE Grad Office. You do NOT have to pay an application fee or use the Graduate School’s Slate System.
Want to change to a non-thesis Masters? Want to change departments?
To request a Change of Degree, contact the Graduate Services Coordinator at ise-gradoffice@ncsu.edu.
Orientation Handbook
During the first week of the semester, new ISE graduate students receive a special introduction to the ISE Department and NC State resources. This Orientation Handbook summarizes the seminar and serves as a reference for common questions and answers.
Current Ph.D. Students
Our Ph.D. students and our research are changing the world of advanced manufacturing, operations, and service sectors. You can view a list of our current Ph.D. students and links to the details of their research and credentials.
Room Reservations for Oral Defense
When it is time to schedule your Preliminary and Final Oral Defenses, you will need to reserve a room for the exam. Rooms Reservations are easy to do.
MBA Courses – Enrollment for ISE Graduate Students
Each semester, the MBA Program sets aside a short period of time for students from other departments to petition to enroll in their courses. These are very strict guidelines. The Petition to Add MBA Courses Form must be completed and submitted.
RA/TA Safety Training Certificate
All ISE Research and Teaching Assistants must obtain the Completion Certificate for the NC Safety Training Checklist. The student’s Principal Investigator (PI) will help select the necessary training options.
